I am a Purex Insider and I had the opportunity to try their latest detergent Purex Plus Oxi! This stuff is GREAT! I am already a fan of Purex detergents because they smell great, clean well, fight stains and are much better priced than other brands boasting of the same stain-fighting prowess. Regular Purex does such a great job that I usually wait to use their special stuff for those garments that I’ve been avoiding due to the stains they contain. Just a week or so ago my daughter set me up for the perfect way to challenge Purex Plus Oxi to see if it could pass the test…
The school nurse called me before noon on a Wednesday to inform me that Ella, 6 years old, had fallen from the top of the Spider (a domed-monkey-bar-looking piece of playground equipment) and landed face first in the tanbark (mulch). She managed to bust her lip, loosen further some loose teeth and banged up her nose. According to her teacher, blood was spurting out but Ella couldn’t quite see the amount of blood so she couldn’t give me those details. I’m thankful for her teacher since the realization of said blood would have probably caused my child to panic. She was fine after getting cleaned up by the nurse with only a coat full of mulch and some blood stained gloves to bring home. The coat was hopeless, but I looked at those gloves and decided Purex Plus Oxi could tackle this problem. Then I got distracted and came back to the open washing machine and started a cold, gentle cycle for the kids’ nicer clothing. I added the Purex Plus Oxi that was sitting in plain reach and then tossed the gloves in with the clothes. As I shut the lid I realized that I didn’t pre-set the stain with the detergent nor did I use any type of warm water. Oops! It was too late so I let the cycle go. I was surprised and extremely pleased to find those gloves sparkling clean WITHOUT any trace of blood! That blood had been dried on there, too!
I don’t need to tell you how sold I am on this product! It works as a pre-treater, too, when one actually remembers to do it! Once again the Purex brand has not let me down! They have yet to create an inferior product! Better yet, I can still afford their products, use less of it and still gain great results. I’m not one to be brand loyal, but when the brand you like is actually one of the best priced on the shelves (with or without a coveted coupon) why try another?? Have you tried Purex? What are your favorite products from their line of detergents and softeners? Is there another brand you prefer? Share with us in the comment section below.
I’d like to thank Purex for allowing me to be a Purex Insider and for sending me Purex Plus Oxi to review! See another review of a great Purex product HERE!
Purex sent me this product to review but the opinions are all my own.
We love cereal in this house. My kids started on good ol’ plain Cheerios and preferred the plain stuff for a very long time. It took awhile for the “grown up” cereals to be tried and even now, they will usually pick something more kid-friendly like Honey Nut Cheerios or Frosted Mini Wheats. Of course, what I have in the house also correlates with what I had a coupon for and what was on sale sometime in the last three months. With this deep appreciation for cereal, I was thrilled to be asked to review Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted as a Purex Insider. Up until now I have been reviewing laundry detergent, but I am excited to review even more products as an Insider. Honey Bunches of Oats isn’t a new cereal, but they keep coming out with more flavor varieties. They have also added more of those tasty granola bunches to every box (my favorite part)! I was sent the Honey Roasted variety and it was absolutely fabulous. Crunchy flakes and sweet oat clusters were marvelous with my morning coffee. Plus, it doesn’t have any high fructose corn syrup, yet boasts of 10 whole grains (wheat, oat, corn and rice). Nutritious and great tasting are sometimes hard to come by in the same box of breakfast cereal. I also discovered that it only has 6 grams of sugar. Our beloved Honey Nut Cheerios has 9 grams! Before being asked to review this product I had a great coupon which allowed me to try the new Fruit Blends with Banana flakes and Blueberry oat clusters and they are also yummy!
Today I was eating a bowl of the Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted when my 6 year old asked if she could try some. When she declared that she wanted more, my two year old had to get in on the action. Both children not only had seconds, but they were disappointed to find out that was the end of the box. I happened to have another variety on hand (the Fruit Blends with Peach flakes and Raspberry clusters) and they declared this variety very good, as well. My husband even had a bowl after watching our kids devour this great tasting and healthy cereal. My entire family gives the Honey Bunches of Oats cereals two thumbs up.

Post provided a box of Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted and product coupons via Purex Insiders, but the opinions of this product are solely my own.
I just saw an advertisement for a product that seems ideal for lunches and snacks. They’re called LunchBots and they’re made of stainless steel instead of plastic! I’m a BzzAgent and would love to have a chance to review one of these. I have a 2 yr old and a 5 yr old for which I am always packing snacks for. These look like ideal products for toting food on the go, plus they’re eco-friendly. Has anybody had a chance to try this product, yet? What’s your first opinion of it?
