“This is Boyly Soap!” (A Three-year-old’s Product Review Of Dial Kids Body+Hair Wash AND Giveaway)

This morning, bright and early, our three-year-old son, Ezra, came bounding into our room. He heard the shower and knew his Daddy was in there. Immediately I heard, “Daddy, can I take a shower, too? Can I use my new soap that smells good?” He was so excited when my husband said yes. Ezra usually showers at night, so both of us had a good chuckle over his exuberance to not only shower, but to insist on using his new body wash.
DialKidsBodyWashPurexInsider While in the shower, Ezra was declaring how much he loved his new soap. It has this awesome peach smell so I can understand why he liked it so well. While washing, it was mentioned that it doesn’t smell like “girly” soap but that it just smells clean to which Ezra exclaimed, “Yeah, it’s not girly soap, it’s “boyly” soap! :-)

Are any of you wondering about this body wash that Ezra is enjoying so much? As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I am a Purex Insider and this program sends me different products to try for free in exchange for an honest review of their product. My family is truly enjoying this latest round of products. I am pleased to share with you that the Dial brand has created the NEW Dial Kids Body & Hair Wash for two different age groups so our children can have age-appropriate cleansing products to meet their specific skin needs. The two age groups are 2+ (which is for ages 2 to 5) and 6+ (created for ages 6 to 10). Ezra is three so his 2+ body wash comes in this fabulous peach scent called Peachy Clean (in the white bottle pictured). It was made for children who have outgrown the traditional newborn soaps, but are not yet ready for adult strength body and hair wash. I know he said it was “boyly” and not “girly” but trust me, moms and dads, when I tell you that your daughter will smell like a sweet little peach and her skin will be so soft. I could smell Ezra before he got out of the shower. I think Dial needs to make a lotion in the same scent. It’s great! Ezra also didn’t cry about soap getting into his eyes both times that he’s used this so far AND his hair is shiny. Seriously, since he was in the shower, a picture would have been inappropriate but I wish I could have captured his joy over taking another shower just to use his new soap. The 2-in-1 formula was designed to make shampooing and body washing easy and speedy, according to Dial, but I wonder if they knew it would make kids WANT to get clean!?! One thing I discovered about the product is that it was developed with pediatric dermatologists. My kiddos have sensitive skin like their momma so a dermatologist’s backing is appreciated.

I happen to also have an almost-seven-year-old in my house so Purex Insiders also sent me the 6+ variant to try. The 6+ body and hair wash boasts to mildly cleanse the skin without drying it out. We were sent Watery Melon. Berry Cool is another scent said to be on the shelves soon for the 6+ age category. Ella was thrilled with her body wash, as well. No, she didn’t beg for extra showers, but she was extremely excited to toss her current body wash away. It was supposed to smell like Strawberries and Cream but the strawberries must have gone bad in that bottle. She hated that stuff and it was supposed to soften her skin, but I can’t say that I’ve noticed any such results. So, she eagerly opened the bottle of Dial Kids Watery Melon Body+Hair Wash and went to work. The smell was pleasing, but not overpowering and there was a great lather. It didn’t take much of the product to get the job done, either. Now Ella has what we call “Rapunzel hair” meaning that it is super long so we have been using certain shampoos and conditioners for her specific hair needs. We decided to just use this new product for body wash. But, if we were on a trip I would not hesitate to use this on her hair, as well, since I’ve seen positive results with Ezra’s use of his Dial Kids Body+Hair Wash. Both age-appropriate formulas report to be tear free, hypoallergenic, contain no artificial dyes or added parabens and are Ph balanced.

Below is a picture of my sweet, smelling cuties on Easter Sunday! :-)

CVS Softsoap Body Wash Deal

CVS has lots of great deals this week that you can earn Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s) with. I shared about my success on Sunday here. If you remember, I shared about “rolling” one’s Extra Care Bucks or ECB’s. So, today I took advantage of the Softsoap Body Wash deal where you buy 3 body washes for $9 and earn $3 in Extra Care Bucks. I knew I had $10 ECB’s to use so I had to spend more than just $9. Sometimes I let Ella pick out some gum with the free dollar. But, I was on my last body wash from my stash so I decided to just add a fourth body wash. I knew there was a Softsoap coupon in a previous insert but I wasn’t sure if it was expired. Sure enough, I found that coupon in the 3/27 Smart Source insert and it was valid until April 16th. I ended up finding the duplicate insert (a nice lady from church hooks me up with her inserts after she has clipped what she wants) so I had two $1 off Softsoap coupons.

$2 in coupons plus $10 in Extra Care Bucks equals $12. Four body washes at $3 each equals $12! :-)

*I also earned $3 in Extra Care Bucks to use in a future transaction! I walked out with FREE bodywash AND gained $3 in ECB’s! It’s almost as if they paid me for the trouble of taking the body wash off their shelves! I can handle that! :-)

How Do You Roll???

I stopped in at our local CVS yesterday to jump on the newest deal consisting of diapers and mascara (pictured). I managed to pay less than $16 for two Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascaras (on sale for $6 each) and a box of Pampers Baby Dry diapers (on sale for $18.99). I know what you’re thinking….the box of diapers is more than $16.

Here’s how I pulled off this deal:

2 Cover Girl Mascaras: $6×2=$12
plus Pampers Baby Dry Diapers: $18.99
minus $2.50/2 Cover Girl manufacturer’s coupon in 4/3 P&G insert
minus $3 Pampers manufacturer’s coupon in 4/3 P&G insert
minus $10 Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s) from a past transaction (that I only posted on FaceBook–sorry for not blogging about it)

With coupons and Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s) I reduced my bill by over $15! I payed $15 and some change AND also earned $10 more in Extra Care Bucks. The ECB’s were earned because I spent $30 in specifically advertised P&G products (a spend $30 earn $10 ECB’s promotion featured on the front page of their flyer).

Now I have $10 in Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s) to spend again. There is a Softsoap Body wash deal where you buy 3 body washes for $9 and earn $3 in Extra Care Bucks. I know there was a Softsoap Body Wash coupon in a past insert. I have to find it and see if it has expired. If I can find a valid coupon I plan to get 4 body washes for $12 and use the $1 coupon and the $10 in Extra Care bucks so I can walk out of CVS with 4 body washes for $1 plus tax. If I can find more than one coupon……well, you do the math! :-) Oh, and don’t forget….I will earn $3 more in Extra Care Bucks (ECB’s) for future use. :-)

By the way, using your ECB’s this way is called “Rolling your Extra Care Bucks.” You may read on another blogger’s website that they “rolled” their ECB’s. That simply means they used their latest earned ECB’s on their next transaction which also produced ECB’s. Those newest ECB’s will be used for the next transaction and so on.

Let’s use my shopping trips as an example: I used my ECB’s on this diapers/mascara transaction and earned more ECB’s. I plan to use the newest ECB’s on another transaction so I can earn more ECB’s. Then, I will wait for the next deal that produces ECB’s.

It’s kind of fun. Can’t you tell? That’s how I roll, my friend! 😉 How do you roll?

*Update: I found TWO Softsoap Body Wash coupons in the 3/27 Smart Source insert! Guess what I ended up paying???
