I am overwhelmed in a good way…

Wow! I just realized I had unread comments on my last two blog posts. Since it had been FOREVER since I had blogged, I got out of the habit of checking on the comments. Oops! I have been extremely encouraged again by all of the comments that people have been leaving for me from my posts on how does a mommy find rest. You can see my second post here which will crack you up when you watch the video. You WILL laugh!!! Go ahead….click the little triangle that means PLAY!

I haven’t taken the time to share what I’ve learned so far this month (yes, I am already learning in less than a month’s time), and then I read more tips and words of affirmation right before I planned to head for bed tonight. God knew I needed to read these tonight. I’ll need to read them tomorrow, too. :-)

Thank you, dear souls, who felt compelled to not simply read my blog, but to share your wealth of wisdom and encouragement. Most of you came over here to read because you love my mom. You haven’t met her, but you’ve been able to get a huge glimpse of who she is through the words she writes on her own blog. You can imagine what it was like growing up with her as your mom. I really don’t remember her flaws at motherhood. I just remember how much fun we always had or the talks we had when life was rough. She obviously did something right. Thanks, Mom, for being the best example a daughter could have on how to be a good mommy. I really wish I had inherited your efficiency gene, though. I think I got the slow gene from the other side instead (No offense, Daddy. :-) We are more patient than Mom is. Hehehe!)

For those of you who are my friends that have left encouragement, thank you. You know me and some of you even know life as a pastor’s wife and the unique role that entails in the midst of parenthood. Thank you for being my support, even if you don’t live down the street from me. (Deanna, oh how I wish you were my neighbor. Always have, always will hope for this since I’ve met you.)

I want to share my first experience of ‘letting go’ as soon as possible. I had to leave my baby boy (okay, he’s 18 months, but still…) over night for the first time a few weeks back. It was a true learning experience for this mommy. Make sure I share ASAP!

Good night, my friends!

Oh, Jessica. I just found your blog through your mother’s. I was raised in Indiana, PA so know right where God led you. I pray God will bless your ministry. We used to pastor, too. My husband now works in administration at Indiana Weselyan University. Small world out in blog land.

Ah Jessica, I just read your post a few days late today. Thank you for your very sweet words you said about me your momma. Truly, raising you and your sister was easier than I think most have it because you’ve always been so special. Truly I mean that! I loved and still love being your momma! Always will!!

Love you to the moon and back and then back around again!
    ??Mom
